In the garden of a friend's house, while not exactly in Palm Beach, fairly near Palm Beach. I rather like the idea of getting up in the morning and picking a banana or two but these apparently have been looking promising for several weeks and months and have still not ripened.
Which may be why you don't see that many banana trees in Florida.
We had a similar banana tree by our house when we lived on the island of Okinawa, Japan. We waited, and waited, and waited...but the fruit never ripened. Only after a typhoon came through and blew the tree flat to the ground did we learn from the locals that they were "cooking bananas", not meant to be eaten raw, and were ripe when green! ~ Rosemary in Ohio
