A Chilly Marina

As mentioned, the blog is on its travels and normal service will resume in a week or so.

As I was heading to the airport, I made a detour to Buffalo Marina, scene of many summer sailing expeditions. It looks different now. Or at least it did last week.

There's Buffalo's City Hall in the background.

Though the lake never froze properly this winter, the ice packed into the Marina looked dramatic.

The floating docks all piled up in the car park flanked by piles of snow.

And the closed up cafe in the distance made for a bleak scene.

Floridians always say that what they miss about the north are the changing seasons. Sometimes I wish they'd change more quickly.
